I came to Canada from Poland in 1992 in my teens. I now live in Guelph, Ontario, Canada with my husband, two children and two cats.
I have a MSc in Microbiology, a BA in English from Queen’s University, and an abandoned PhD degree from University of Alberta.
I have published poetry, short stories, and reviews in The Bristol Prize Anthology, The Prairie Journal, Room, Carousel Magazine, The Nashwaak Review, and Postscripts to Darkness.
My work won first place in the Eden Mills Contest in 2010; second place in the GritLit Hamilton festival in 2015; and was longlisted for the CBC Radio Short Story contest in 2010.
I co-edited an anthology of Polish-Canadian short stories that was published by Guernica Editions in 2017.
My collection of short stories Lemons was published by Mansfield Press in 2017.
New novel Voices in the Air will be published by Palimpsest Press in winter 2025.
